As a trauma therapist, I provide individual therapy to people in their work with the following issues:
- Creating & nourishing healthy relationships: with yourself, with your body, and with other people.
- Healing from childhood trauma, including abuse, neglect, and family dysfunction.
- Recovering after divorce/breakup.
- Navigating the many challenges and transitions of young adulthood.
- Overcoming perfectionism, people-pleasing patterns, and/or creating better boundaries for yourself.
- Sustaining recovery from substance addiction.
- Processing spiritual or religious trauma, and identifying if and how to reclaim a healthy relationship with one’s religion or personal spirituality.
I especially love supporting students, teachers, helping professionals, and first-time parents. Individuals and couples of all ages, ethnicities, cultural and spiritual backgrounds and sexual/gender identities are welcome. I do not provide couples or family therapy at this time, and I do not work with people under the age of 18.
Note: As a solo practitioner, I do not have the capacity to meet the needs of clients who:
- are actively suicidal or homicidal,
- have needed psychiatric hospitalization in the past year,
- have untreated/active substance addiction,
- are living in a domestic violence situation,
- need a legal evaluation for disability, custody, or court-ordered treatment.
